P;eased to say that Body & Face is re-registered with Cruelty Free International (Leaping Bunny) for another year. BUT a reminder from Cruelty Free that, in the Coronavirus pandemic, laboratory animals should not be forgotten. There are worrying reports that, in some countries, the decision has been taken to kill animals where projects have been put on hold as a result of COVID-19. Assurances are wanted that inspections will continue and that animals are properly cared for. Where necessary, every effort should be made to rehome animals. A guarantee of care and protection has been requested of the UK government and of the US authorities. Noted that a vaccine was proceeding to human trials.
